HMO Positions - FAQsWhat if I accidentally forget to attach a document or would like to update a document?Go back into the Melbourne Health website and click on the position that you have applied for. Click on the 'apply' icon and when you start entering in your details again (as though you had never applied before), the system will recognise you and automatically bring up all the details you had entered in your previous attempt. You can then change any details or attachments. Again, once you completed the application process, you should receive an email acknowledgement. How are Interviews arranged?Should your application be successful, we will send you through an email which will include a link to our booking website. The interview panel would consist of a member from our medical staff and a member from the Medical Workforce Unit. When booking your interview, please have your PMCV Candidate ID ready! Please remember we do not offer phone interviews and these interviews will be conducted on a one to one basis. When is the interview process? Our interview period will be from 5 September to the 30 September 2011. Who will be offered interviews?Interviews will be offered based on a short-listing process using PMCV references and your CV. Invitations to interview will be released on Friday 26th August. Rotations:How do you allocate rotations?Allocations are done with a central process using a preference form system. Every HMO is required to complete a preference form (specific to their stream) where each rotation is numbered in order of preference. There is also an opportunity to write any details to support your preferences such as college requirements. How can I guarantee that I can get a certain rotation? There is no way to guarantee that you will be allocated any specific rotation. It simply depends on how many people rank that rotation at their number 1 preference and how many positions we have available each year. Are their any compulsory rotations at RMH as a HMO?There are no compulsory rotations as such but almost every HMO does a term of Relieving at some stage during the year. During this term you are allocated to cover other people on leave within the stream you have nominated. Leave:How do I apply for leave?Annual leave – 5 weeks pro-rata is allocated on a preference based system. Conference leave – must be applied for prior to the 31st March each year and subject to approval by MWU medical and surgical consultants. Examination leave – up to 8 days per leave (over two exams) subject to approval by MWU medical and surgical consultants. Back |
