Am I eligible to apply for a BPT Position?

All BPT positions at RMH are recruited through the PMCV match. Please go to the Post Graduate Medical Council of Victoria to ensure you are match eligible, also visit The Royal Australasian College of Physicians and to view the eligibility criteria for PREP Basic Training Program.

How to Apply for a Position at Melbourne Health

Step 1: PMCV Requirements

Visit the Post Graduate Medical Council Website http://www.pmcv.com.au/. Carefully read the eligibility criteria and computer match process. Register at the PMCV Website for a username & password so you can participate in the Victorian Computer Match. Follow instructions on the PMCV website to register your nominated three referees

Step 2: Applying for a position online at the Melbourne Health website

When you are in the Melbourne Health Careers website, click on the 'Register Now' icon in the top left hand corner and follow the instructions to register your details Under 'Search Current Vacancies' enter the key search criteria for position you would like to apply for (eg Hospital Medical Officer, Basic Physician Trainee etc).

If you would like to browse through all available medical positions, just click on 'medical' and this will bring up all vacancies. Once you have located the position you would like to apply for, carefully read the advertisement, selection criteria and any other documents that are attached to the position.

Before clicking on 'Apply Now' make sure you have on file your updated cover letter and resume. Once you have this ready, complete the application form and attach your files. When you have completed this process, you will receive an email acknowledgement. If you do not receive this email, you have not successfully completed all the steps.
